secretary of the US.. ish

i attended my virgin unassisted mic-jousting session today. suffice to say, was i glad i have long arms!

as it was, mr hill (christopher) arrived at the airport to allow us members of the media to hound him a bit about the N Korea situation, how talks would be like, if they're making progress or is N Korea going to hypnotise them into giving them more time more money - again.

okay, it's not quite put that way and those were solely my words.

mr hill in person seems alright, and a friend of mine would say that he's a diplomat, not a politician - a distinction i failed to make. well, y'see, a politician more often than not are "nice guys" in demeanor, while diplomats tend to be "nice guys" in essence. of course, that's generalisation, but that's why i used phrases like "more often than not" and "tend to".

so mr hill seems alright; he seems to be the kind who has learnt the er, art of saying many things without saying anything. which means that he's probably earned his rights - "rights" - to be where he is right now. but that's a diplomat's job.

i doubt he'd be trying tricks like that with his wife. heh.

but i digress. so it was my virgin unassisted mic-jousting session at the airport today - i had no idea how heavy a 150-gram (guesstimate) audio recorder can feel at the end of your fingers when you're reaching through necks and past ears to place it as near to the speaker as possible. it gets heavier every minute; thank heavens mr hills only spoke for 18 minutes.

and i'm not the only shaky-armed around. there were others whose audio recorders trembled like mine did. hahah i wonder, if i were to do this often will i have slimmer arms? LOL

the questions women ask! XD
