scene: a girl is looking at a magazine, poring over the models' outfits and faces. she sighs.

girl (without looking up from the magazine): i wish i were born beautiful. look at them! how lucky these people are!

boy (reading nearby, looks up): -grunt-

girl (takes the grunt as cue and continues): some say they've had plastic surgery - but if i were to look like them i wouldn't mind!

boy (stares, but says nothing)

girl (a tad crest-fallen): ...i wish i were pretty, too. (continues to stare at the magazine, unseeing)





boy: but you're the most beautiful girl in the world.
